Not just a designer

I like to think of design as a great tool for building better products and solving business problems.

Early starter

Got interested in design at the age of 14 and started freelancing a year later. When I was 17, I dropped out of school and moved to Zagreb, Croatia – to work as intern at a one of the most popular design agencies in the country.

Employee Nº1

My work history primarily consists of positions where I was either first or one of the early employees. Companies at such stage are aligned with my passion for building things from the ground up. In one of these positions, as a first employee at Farmeron, we joined the 500Startups and lived in Mountain View, California for about 4 months.

In 2010, at just 17 years old, I organized a few online conferences that included speakers like Hiten Shah, Noah Kagan, Dan Martell, David Cancel, Jason Baptiste, David Hauser, Roy Rodenstein, Chris Savage and more. With a marketing budget of ZERO dollars, I've attracted over 10,000 people from 40 countries who spent over 7,000 hours on the site.

Primarily I'm focused on UI/UX design but I’m equally proficient with frontend (HTML/CSS) development. I could hardly call myself a developer but I do a decent amount of JS (mainly jQuery) code and I'm also not scared of the backend technologies like PHP, Ruby (on Rails), Node.JS, React and probably a few more. I even worked on a simpler PHP integration with existing REST APIs and built prototypes with Ruby on Rails. Such a wide range of experiences with different technologies gives me a unique edge when working with developers, understanding their needs and time restrictions. In last 12 months I've invested over 700 hours into learning Ruby, Ruby on Rails, PostgreSQL, 200 hours into JavaScript (vanilla JS, Electron) and 200 hours into Apple's Swift.

Variety of interests

Driven by my passion for startups and building products, I always want learn more about the things involved in the process, things that are not related to design. Over the years I was involved in recruiting, leading teams, sales, pitching investors, branding, research, social media marketing and pretty much anything startups encounter these days.
